Radar Detectors

I have a K40 systems in 997 and V1s in all our others cars. We have a new GTS being delivered this week and my question is simple. What should I put in the GTS? We are 70% Florida small city town driving and balance I95 and I4 interstates. We heard the new redlight cams are coming to our area. My daughter has managed to collect four DC stationary camera based speeding tickets and she has a V1.
Thank you
Richard

In your case, I'd go with the Passport 9500i, which has a built in GPS and coordinate memory that you can update from internet that keeps the device up to date with the latest speed traps and red light cameras. It has more or less the same sensitivity properties of a V1, they are at the same level...

I second the recommendation for the 9500i. I have the 9500ci which is the same electronics as the 9500i but with a stealth install. I love it and the GPS functionality and the accuracy of the database of cameras has served me very well.

Do you have any pictures where you put the leds and little console? I'm debating a V1 or 9500ci as well and the 9500ci's stealth appeals to me.

My Cayenne is in the shop until first thing next week. I would be happy to post pictures then, sooner if the guys at the shop don't mind snapping a quick picture for me. It can't hurt to ask...

and what kind of price tag?

I will get my GTS in 2 weeks and was thinking V1 (again -as it has served me well) but will look at the 9500i. What are you paying for the goods and the install? Are most of you getting the display build into the rear view mirror?

Will get a L-Jammer as well if any one has anything to add here.

thx

We have GTS for 3 days and love it. Installed the Escort 9500ix after reading threads and tests from here and other googled sites.. Wired to fuse panel (by local stereo shop for less than 50) and located below driver's side sun visor (sun visor still works fine). We had Calibre K-40 in 997 and V-1s in all other vehicles. First impression is this is far better in the city with false alarms. I do not like however that it does not tell you the direction of the threat. I will give it a few weeks. Friends say they now use both. To me that would be a royal pain.....
