there are 3 screws on the inside of each rail - torx wrench or an allen wrench can work. the screws may be covered with a rubber grommet.

roof rails or racks?

racks can be removed by the use of the special key that comes with the racks. Insert the key, unlock the rack, remove it by sliding in the rails..

I just removed my roof rails. Each roof rail has three rubber grommets. I found it easiest to pop them out with a small standard screw driver. After you pop out the grommets, you will have to unscrew the six hex screws. After the hex screws are removed just wiggle the rails and they will break free. To remove the six brackets you will need to use a torx screw driver. The torx screws are really tight so you will need a tool with plenty of leverage. A socket torx will not fit so you will have to use one with a screw driver handle. I decided to sacrifice my torx screw driver and used a vise grip on the handle to give me the added leverage needed.

Sorry, not for sale. You would'nt want them anyway...I have a CS Titanium Edition so you would have to paint them to match your trim. All my trim is Titanium colored.

Yeah, I'm sure I could sell them pretty easily but I plan on switching between my rails and new racks. I'm sending the racks to the paint shop soon to be color matched in Titanium.

What kinds of racks did you buy?

I too have a Titanium Ed Cayenne (Silver/Blue...whatever) .... and I can't seem to find a set of decent all purpose racks.

I was thinking Thule Aero's...

Thanks!

Rails off....

What is the trick for removing the rail tabs off the slider track? Looks like the tabs has a leaf spring clip below. Ideas?

You need to find a reputable Locksmith... surely you can find one who will sell you the OEM parts you need. Apparently locksmith just doesn't want to make money! It looks like there isn't a "kit" since this isn't sold as an accessory, but you could just buy these parts and do it yourself. There won't be instructions, but it doesn't really look too complicated. Especially if there are inserts at the mounting points.
