I cant decide.
Been there recently
BMW- Currently 0% APR and maintenance included in the price. Largest f the three. Decent resale value. Decent handling, normally very well equiped
MB- No particular decent APR at this time. Costly to maintain, lowest resale value of the three (I had one, big regret) particularly AMG
Porsche- No decent APR as well (worse than MB), best handling of the three, equipment is very expensive, best resale value of the three, costly to maintain but needs little scheduled maintenance (god helps if you go of warranty).
I guess you need to ponder what do you need best. Looks, handling, value, deal etc
I like Porsche handling, therefore Cayenne became my answer. By far not the best deal on the economical point of view but very litle people in this forum are exactly practical guys. My other car is a 2 seater w/o spare tire or trunk....
I agree with Clarkson: "If you have no imagination, buy a BMW"
Just my 2c

Drop the MB, X5 or the cayenne, I think it all matters on which body styling u like better, and the need of seats. I'd go for the X5 even though the body style isnt my thing. Only cause, 7 seats and the Maintenance.

When I looked at my Porsche I looked at the X5's. Drove both and made the sound decision of the Porsche. I felt I was cheating myself if I went with the X5. BMW doesn't balk at the maintenance though.
I have the GTS for personal reasons, mainly drive/reliability/comfort.
Not for PRICE.
If you care obout the 3rd row and price, get the BMW.
They have better residuals and better lease rates.
If I had to do it again, I would still get the GTS over the x5.
Exterior looks was a big factor as well.
Wanted a sports car look/feel, didn't get that at all with the x5.

Check the resale value on AMG's. That is pure reflex of their cost to mantain. Another way to check the best car (economically speaking) is with insurance companies. They ponder a lot to calculate their premiums.
