0-60 = Stock 6.4 sec. - V-Flow 6.2 sec.

I thought 0-60 time for an 05 TT was somewhere in the mid - low 5 second range?

Put in BMC filters and be done with it. I would not run those on my car from previous experience on other vehicles and seeing what it does to torque. Generally the stock box's are going to be more effecient.

Actually these are manufactured by Evolution Motorsports. EVOMS

I'm getting a set for mine, hope they arrive today.... They were shipped yesterday. I'm also installing the Cat-By-Pass so we can see how they perform too...

I will post up a dyno of our 2006 Turbo S with the EVO V-flow intakes installed. The truck didn't lose any horsepower or torque. It actually gained hp and a ton of torque through the entire rpm range

I've had one for just about a year in my wife's CTT. No issues... and it sounds great! Thought my wife would hate the extra "woosh" but turns out she thinks it's kind of neat!

Forgot to update this once the EVOMS Intakes were added.... You can hear them right away and even the deverters acting up... Feels like an increase in power over stock but as to how much? I couldn't tell you.... By-pass are next in line.

Those drop-in types seem to please those not willing to drop the $$ on the real deal, no offence...

The "Real Deal"? not sure what that is.

I can go down to Fred Segal in Melrose and drop $100 on a plain white t-shirt. It's still made of cotton and doesn't last any longer than any other T-shirt. Is that the "Real Deal"?

Or is the "Real Deal" measured in surface area + air flow? Because if that's the "Real Deal", and the Vflow cone filters are made out of the same stuff as a BMC flat filter (remember they used to use K&N with their kit), and the surface area is the same or greater with the flat filters (imagine if you cut open the cone and layed it out), and the stock air box is not restrictive (most porsches are not at all), then I would say they are relatively equal.

However, if you want to flush $400 down the toilet so you can hear a whoosh and tell your friends you have the "Real Deal", then be my guest.

Hey buddy chill, I'm not trying to argue with anyone here, I'm just putting in my .02 just as you, but when you quote me you're directing your input directly at me.. I have cold air-boxes on my 911 and Cayenne, they both work great, drop-in's are a thing of the past when you really want to get the max air-flow. I'll let the products say it all....

Once again "NO OFFENCE" to those with drop-ins.

Eli,
Don't cry, it's ok. I just don't agree with you.

As far as I'm concerned they should re-name their product a "warm air intake", cause that's what it does. If you're in a GT3 screaming down a track at 100+ then I'm sure these work great. Nothing but lots of cool air gettin rammed in there. When ur drivin down the street in stop and go LA traffic, I'm not so sure. Personally I think ur suckin in a fair amount of hot air from the engine compartment.

I bought the EVOMS CAI for my 996 C4S and after I got the stock airbox out and compared them side by side, I sent it back. Why? Because the stock box has a snorkel, the surface area on the BMC is HUGE, and the stock box even has holes drilled in the bottom if it needs even MORE air. If that's still not enough air for ya, you could mod the top yourself.

Sayin that a flat filter is a thing of the past is misleading to newbies. Is the EVOMS better? Maybe a little. Is it 4 x better? Not IMO.

Cut us flat filter guys a break. We wanna be cool too!

No crying here... Been on 6-spd for more than four years now, I've head plenty of feedback both ways and know from personal experience and others that the drop-in is what the Generals are just as Cold-Air Systems are to Michelins.

Just to express my input guys (not you med), I prefer the cold-air system as to the drop in filter any-day......
