Dead cayenne?

So I moved my car this morning because I was blocking another car at home.

I go to use it now and nothing, dead, the key won't come out of the ignition. I can't even lock the car.

I tried to jump start it and nothing. Besides, I don't think its the battery.

thoughts?

Can it be the battery of the key is out?

Is your transmission at "park"?

Just my 2 thoughts.

UPDATE: when the tow truck showed up we managed to jump start it.
However, the floors and carpets on the driver side and around the battery were soaking wet.
I had my dealer replace the ac unit not long ago, I suspect they f*ucked up somewhere.

Looks like someone might be flipping the bill on some new carpets...

From a professional point of view my money is on the plenum drain tubes behind either side wheel well lining. With the tips of your fingers you should be able to feel them and give 'em a good tug. You'd be suprised how much water can be held in there. Check back and let me know.

PS. The heater core/AC units on a cayenne are part of the dash and the only way to replace them is to remove the entire dash board so my bet is whomever did the work wouldn't take the chance on messing anything up.

The car is at the dealer, so I'll keep you guys updated on what they find.
To be more specific, they replaced the dash ac unit, (buttons and screen part) so I don't believe they replaced anything else.

I purchased a CPO warranty on Nov 5th. They could'nt find this issue in the supposedly extensive inspection they charged me for?

My dealer just called and said that the water problem was the drain tubes from the roof and wiper area. They are charging me 1 hour labor to fix it.

My question is this: Weren't they supposed to check this in the inspection for my extended warranty???? Anywhere I can find a checklist on what they are supposed to check?

Now did I say drain tubes or what?! Haha....Unfortunetly there are still people out there who don't take their jobs seriously. Sorry to hear that you had a bad experience with your local techs.

I won't be back at work until Friday but I will make sure I scan a copy of the Porsche approved CPO checklist when I get back. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help.

Thanks for your help!

Is this a regular problem? Has anyone heard of anyone else with this same issue?
