Why it's a good idea to change your oil when you're supposed to...

Many people have asked about oil change intervals on many different cars. Below are a couple of REAL pictures from what was a turbocharger on a Cayenne Turbo. The oil can get so sludgy and thick that the variocam actuators can no longer function correctly, leading to check engine lights, and other issues, as well as many other IMPORTANT components not getting the required lubrication. The shaft that spins the turbine and impeller actually broke at both ends, where the wheels are. You can see imapct damage on both impellers from spinning into the turbo case. Enjoy

WOW! Thanks for posting. Although I always change my oil on my CTT ahead of time, I tend delay it on my Jeep several thousand miles.

How often do you suggest the oil should be changed?

At least once a year, or 10,000 miles at the most. Many like to do it between 5,000-7,500, which is also a good routine to follow.

I just don't keep my foot out of it so I just have to keep adding oil lol almost no need for an oil change at this point other than to change the filter. Literally though if I don't stop taking my foot out of it I'm going to have a rebuild coming
