Delaying windshield Defogger?

Ive got a 05 cayenne S with 86,xxx kms on the odo....

anyways, everytime i get into the car and windows are fogged up,
I start up the engine, and it take atleast 5minutes for the defogger to blow.

It get really frustrating when im in a hurry because i cant see anything!!

Is it just me? or anyone else experiencing same issues?

Thanks in advance!!

In order to defog your windshield, it has to blow warm air, and when you cold-start your car, there is no way that it can blow warm air. So, we're all living with it, you're at least complaining about fog, here in Michigan, I sometimes wait 10 minutes just to de-freeze the windshield..

Wow, thats some crazy weather you got going on !!

I understand the car has to be warm in order to blow warm air, but even if already warmed up and i drove to say the the gas station to get a drink, i come out and my defogger wont turn on for 5minutes. its not that it wont blow air. it wont turn on evey time i restart i engine.

if it started blowing after you started the car cold it would probably add another layer of ice to the inside of your window....
the thing needs to warm up!

if ur car does not blow hot air even when the car has reached its full engine temp. then maybe its a problem with the blend doors. need to be replaced
