What makes the front brake pads on a Cayenne 6 cost $220?
I thought BMW parts were expensive but I'm started to learn that Porsche parts are up there too. Oh well, that's the price we have to pay for these luxurious cars
If you really look at it, I think the parts aren't that much different than Honda/Toyota parts, the Porsche dealer shop labor charges are pretty expensive compared to Honda/Toyota dealers.
Just look for the local indy shop or DIY in your garage

The work as good as OEM and they have a life time warranty.
I needed a set Friday night before a 1000 mile road trip and they work great.

Also look into Hawk break pads.....I have always had good luck with them on my family's race cars. That was my first choice but I could not get them in time.
Now I know there are a few people who are saying they would never put any Auto Zone parts on my Porsche. 99.9% of the time I am with you but I am here to tell you these are very good pads.....I am very hard on my breaks, towing 5000 lb trailer and fun mountain roads (not at the same time) and so far these pads have held up great no break fade what so ever. And the best part is there is a life time warranty
Hey Guys, are there any alternative pads that has a lot less brake dust?? The OEM ones are killing me. Our Cayenne only has 200+ miles on it and the front wheels are black...
