Cayenne Turbo S help

Test drove a 2009 GTS and TurboS yesterday and fell in love with the Turbo S.

However, I can't justify buying new as I'll have 2 young kids in the back and it will be a dd.

My problem is I don't know much about the pepper Turbo Ss other than they began production in 2006.

Can anyone give me some helpful information? Any years to avoid? Maintenance issues on the Turbo S?

Thanks.

There are a couple of lightly used examples on eBay at a pretty good price. I like the Lava Gray one. Maybe one of those would work for you. Also, there are not huge differences between the Turbo and Turbo S.

Lava Gray

GTS Red

a gts would be safer than a turbo s for all of you, especially if you have two kids

If you are looking at Turbo S you are safe with all years. Porsche offered a factory Power Kit prior to this that is very similar to what became the S. Both provide additional power, bigger brakes, etc. They are great vehicles and my wife uses hers the same as you are describing - dd/baby hauler. Just don't give your kids whiplash as the turbos spool up!

I test drove the GTS and though it was nice, it lacked the wow factor when compared to the Turbo S. I could see myself getting bored of the GTS pretty quickly.

I think a Cayenne should be black exterior, beige interior... it's a matter of taste, but i think it looks sweet that way, at least more classier

hi

l would certainly recommend you go for an 09' model( commenced production in 08 although called 09' model) whether you choose gts, turbo or turbo s.

This is due to 1.slightly re styled exterior --much cleaner lines.

2. Better performance engines with much increase in bhp/ but decrease in emissions and consumption.

3. on a like for like basis better residuals.

4. the new pcm nav is so much better and has bluetooth( if spec'd)

please also take into account the turbo is very similiar in power to turbo s.

cheers

ps-- would also say go for PDCC it makes a huge difference to the drive/handling.

Perhaps u could find a low milage 08 CTT and add a couple of upgrades to it that would surpass the CTTS stock performance. You might even come out ahead (dollar wise) of a CTTS purchase.

Agreed- good point. I also find the S' to be a bit more laggy

I had a 08 Turbo. Sold it for a 09 Turbo S. Did so because of interior sport 2 tone seats and touch screen nav/com screen.

I just love the sport seats. Hug so so well in curves and can't beat the looks.

No major difference in terms of power; bit better on a stand still acceleration.

No problem with the car either; so far.
