chrome Grill Inserts

Looking to pimp out my grill. I got a silver Cayenne and I think a silver or chrome grill would look HOT. I'm on a budget though. What do you guys think about these? Too cheap? Anyone ever use them before?

Got 'em!!

well, I also found this kit on ebay and thought for 37 bucks shipped, you can't go wrong. The company I dealt with had AMAZING communication and the product was just as described. Required a little trimming to fit, but was super easy and could be done with scissors. Super cheap for a great looking addition

Silver grill is very right on a silver Cayenne! And considering the cost of the car $37 is a bargain!

Install was a piece of cake...just use rubbing alcohol to clean each individual bar before applying it. The strips aren't perfect size, so just some typical Fiskars paper scissors will do the trick to trim it. I peeled back the red strip that covered the adhesive about half way the length of the piece, then placed the left side on and pressed for about 5 seconds. Then while holding that left side I just applied with my left hand, I used my right and grabbed in the middle of the piece and pulled it to the right as is attempting to stretch it. I then set it onto the grill while "stretching" it and pressed it on. This got me to the middle of the piece. I then peeled the remainder of the protective adhesive covering off and repeated, then trim appropriate length off and apply the rest.

It really is simple...there are a ton of ways to properly stick it on I'm sure. I did it Wednesday night...make sure the temps are above 65F when applying it. I just took the cayenne through an auto car wash (touch less of course) and I had no issues with any pieces coming off.

well done trev.

a friend of mine used the bently style grills from a chrysler 300c and it looks fantastic, just cut to size and stick with silicone.

just one thing though trev......you took your cayenne through an auto car wash OMG....your washes must be a lot better than ours then, they leave huge swirl/scratches here......

The dealer I bought mine from gives free car washes and they're through an automatic one. Never had any issues.

glad to hear it.
its just that the vast majority of auto washes here use nylon rotating brushes, and they can "flail" your car, and if its a bit icey or cold, they are like wire brushes.
then theres the issues of trim being pulled off etc.
i have never used them....its hand washes for me.

That is the beauty of our car washes...we do have the crap ones that use the nylon rotating brushes, and there is NO WAY I am going through that!!! The one I use is a completely touch less all water wash that uses pressurized water (soft water at that) so the only thing that touches is the water and soap...plus they towel dry at the end all for 7 bucks!

Hey, I have been wanting to make my Cayenne GTS grille look like the Bentley style. Do you know any way to get that kind of look on a Cayenne GTS????
