I'm not new to forums, but new to 6speedonline and rennlist and a long time huge fan/member of the awesome PPBB. I've been testing the waters on each and by far this forum has a more mature and sophisticated group. I wonder how that comes to be? Well, here's to you 6speed.
It's funny that there are many out there that claim that rennteam and rennlist are the "technical" forums and 6speed is just the wild wild west.

Yes, one of the moderators on Rennlist seems to think it is his duty to belittle and make fun of almost every post. When you're new on that forum, it does not go over well; and his manner comes across as extremely unhelpful. No question about it.
We sponsor both places, and I love the differences between the two.
How's that for P.C.!

I started on Rennlist, long before I joined 6speed, and found that this was the case with a number of people. I became less involved in the forum as I seemed as if I was a never going to get a break, and people would remember everything that other people said but were incorrect about and bring it up weeks later. I do agree that Rennlist is more technical, but the attitude at 6speed seems a lot more friendly. Rennlist reminds me of High School, if you get in with the right crowd then you are fine, if you don't well you'll be less involved.

I guess the tone of a forum starts with it's moderator(s), like it's own little country. As in the real world there will always be some that try to ruin it for all. Real interesting to hear these point of views as well as comforting to read similar experiences as mine. A great forum makes ownership that much better. Happy New Year to all at 6speedonline!
"moderator" - lets be more specific - LTC is the idoit they put in charge of the Cayenne forum. the person hates cayennes and is obsessed - strangest choice for a moderator.
i find their other forums great but have to say that 6 speed tends to have a bit more lively group

With the way he posts, he would not have lasted a week as a regular participant - much less a moderator - on my G-Class Forum.

I got banned on their a few years back for a week, but never returned due to a peeing match. I called BS, and wouldn't let it go, because the guy was defying physics with his TT (imaginary TT at that), then one of the mods stepped in and it went south in a hurry, I basically told the mod he was a moron for letting it get out of hand, and that what the guy was claiming would have a hard time trying to do in the Matrix...
but then again i push my luck here sometimes also... I like physics, physics are facts that we know, sure they change with advancement in technology, but when it comes to vehicles, the basic laws of physics apply. And i won't hesitate to call BS... but lately I am doing it more in a PR way
