would several bikes fit inside the Cayenne?

I would have to ask this question here as there is no Porsche dealer in where I live to try this out.

Would a mountain bike and two (2) kids 20" bike fit inside the Cayenne on upright position with the 2nd row folded down?

The Cayenne is pretty small inside and the 2nd row seats don't fold flat. Why not go with a hitch mount or rooftop carrier?

I have tried and the answer is NO. I have a full carbon fiber 15's road bike which is real easy to manipulate when loading and I can only get it to fit laying down. Best bet is a hitch with the bike rack as you will never scratch your C and the rack pops off with 1 pin. You can do the roof option also but that's just 2 bikes and I can pretty much guarantee you will be cursing every time you hoist your mountain bike to the roof.

We usually take two vehicles to our Sunday outing. One of them is the bike and stuff carrier. I'm just considering replacing my Wrangler with a Cayenne. All stuff still fits the Wrangler at this moment but my kids are growing and would soon be needing an upgrade to bigger bikes. I'm just itching to replace the Wrangler with something else and my only 2 choices are the Cayenne or the MB G-Wagen.

yes, that is an option on the jeep. but if the cayenne works, that is a better option (i'm looking for a sensible reason to buy a cayenne and sell my jeep ).

unfortunately, it doesn't. so a bike rack on the tow hitch seems to be the best solution for the cayenne, same as the jeep.

maybe a g-wagen may work.

clarification please....

did those who tried take off the front wheel and lower the seat height? We put 2 adult road bikes in the wife's MDX by attaching the front fork to a removable slik track and loosening the seat clamp. The MDX also does not fold completely flat but we made it work. This is a big consideration if we will buy a Cayenne.

Thanks

Chris

I just stack 2 bikes on top of each other, 1 20" and my 24" we the people cruiser and hit up the beach, I do put a blanket down. I have fit a mountain bike and my 24" cruiser in this way as well without a problem.

No way.

The rear interior height is too low to accommodate a mountain bike without taking it all apart (extra hassle every time).
Even if you could, over time it would eventually trash the interior.
Really good for resale value!

Like others have said, the most logical solution is to put the bikes on a hitch mounted rack.

Affirmative NO. At best - Mountain or Road bikes need to be laying over each other and every time they go in/out.... the interior trim takes a hit. Get a hitch. The roof rack is ONLY for those who like cussing their brains out....
