My 2006 CTT is developing problems already, one sounds like it could be serious. It's taken to making a loud clunking sound when you let off the throttle during hard acceleration. It does not do this all the time but I haven't figured out what triggers it other than quick release of throttle after its been floored for a few seconds. The upshfits are smooth.

The other problem is with the sound system which intermitently goes off for a few seconds with a frequency which makes it very irritating. Again this problem is not always there as it sometimes works perfectly.

Looks like I'm going to get to try out my thrid party warranty (Ensurall). I'll let you know how they handle it.

 

is the loud cluncking sound coming from the bottom of the car?

I had this on my CS 2005 when I start stopped in traffic. Sometimes the thunk was so violent it shook the car. Seems to be the differential in my case.

 

thanks for the suggestion but it actually seemed to be coming from the front area and only after quickly letting off after hard acceleration (ie gas pedal floored).
