Reviving a old thread.

Thanks again to porschespeeddemon for the part number. Finally got around to fixing the problem...5 minute job, although compressing the strut to get it to pop back in takes a little effort. I strongly recommend replacing the top end first, compressing the strut then popping the bottom end it. You may have to pull the rubber pedal aside to make room.

Pics to follow...

Use a flat screwdriver to pry the retaining clip off on the top and bottom of the strut. Then pop the top one back in. Push and compress the strut slightly and pop the bottom in. It takes a little effort to compress the strut, you may need to move the rubber brake pedal cover to make room.

markitzero is infamous around these parts
Very common problem...

My Touareg had this problem... my Q7 currently has this problem... my Cayenne currently has this problem.

I just have become accustom to kicking the brake up with my foot when I disengage it.
