Finally looking for my CTT!

Well after a good 3 years i finally sold my Acura NSX i had a great run with her but can't wait to get my perfect CTT! I've been lurking this forum for over a year now and been test driving them on & off. Great looking car and the linear power was great. I'm looking forward being on this board and sharing my joy with you guys. I've had a good amount of sports cars but im ready for a change. Ideal CTT im looking at is around 04-05 black/black with around 50-60k miles.

-dan

here are some pics of my nsx

noob question:
What are all the accessories you could get on the CTT in 04-05? There is a ctt in new york im looking at and i wanna see what it does/doesn't have so i can be more precise on my offer.

TPMS and Keyless entry.

Make sure that the known issues have already been taken care of: Coolant pipes, differential, and rear tailgate struts. Good luck!

Coolant pipes YES! driveshaft (not as expensive) and set up the way you like it; Mods or no Mods, rims, color, etc.... great DD's for those of us who have a few extra items to carry around. Welcome!

Beautiful NSX! CTT's are fairly bullet proof if properly maintained. Coolant pipes seem to be the biggest issue. Good luck with your search!

hey dan, welcome! yes coolant pipes are an issue that you will deal with at some point. figure around 2 grand at the dealer, or buy the parts for about $600.00 (sunset or suncoast) and do it yourself or have and indy do it. also figure replacing all the coils and plugs. the driveline may be an issue at some point as well. besides a PPI, i would take the vin # and have a porsche service manager research the car and make sure all the sofware issues have been taken care of. he might be able to tell you if the coolant pipes have been replaced thru a porsche dealership. do your home work and save a bunch of money, there are alot available. yes, they are an amazing vehicle for the used price!! good luck, mike

Ah sorry i posted that im only looking for black/black . sounds like a great deal though

could anyone tell me if this is a turbo S or just badged with the S?
http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail...5&aff=national

i called because 05 didnt make the turbo S and they said it was just "badged" but isn't .... i looked at the exhaust pics and it seems they changed the exhausts on the S and it matches it.

i found a pretty good deal but his CPO is the older version. he has 63k miles but hasn't done the coolant/ driveshaft nor the ignition coils as he says the dealer never saw wear... what should i do here?

ask to lower the price or have him ask the dealership to handle it?

thanks
dan

I would have the dealer replace all the coolant pipes and driveshaft, coils aren't bad and they can be changed with the plugs on routine service. GL
