76K miles is fine. Make sure you take care of the known issues:
1. coolant pipes
2. tailgate struts
3. driveshaft
Mines has 77K miles with all those issues taken care of and she's running great. CPO or extended warranty will give you the peace of mind for the next couple of yrs.

my advice is to take the vin number to the service mngr at your local porsche dealership and see what info he has. he can tell you if the software issues have been taken care of and any of the big issues under warranty. you have been reading the threads, so you know all about the coolant pipe/coils and plugs/drive shaft issues. when all the problems that porsche gave us are taken care of, they really are a unique suv. the other good part is that somebody else ate the depreciation when buying used. be prepared to spend some money to make it right, take your time finding the right one, there are tons of them for sale. when you buy one and need parts, check with jeff clark internet sales at sunset porsche, he is great to deal with. good luck, mike

It is six years from the date first titled. So this 2004 may have been titled mid-2003. In that case, the extra 2 years of CPO warranty runs out mid-2010.
