Does anyone know what size fog light bulbs the 2011 Cayenne uses?

Typically you do not need a harness to operate an HID kit although it is a very good idea just for voltage stablization. The OEM wires tend to be fragile and thin gauge and can heat up quickly causing meltdown or even a fire. Be sure to get the error cancellers though so you dont have the warning message pop up on the dash.

I installed the DDM Raptor Fat Ballast HID 35W kit as suggested by Mamut79 without an error cancellor and I got the dipped beam error when i turned off the Headlight Low Beams. Anyone know of any fixes or did DDM change up ballasts suppliers recently?

Try installing error cancelers and then report back. I always install them regardless because its just good insurance. They are just capacitors and will help to equalize current draw anyway.

If you dont feel like buying one that is already made, you can make one yourself. Just go to radioshack and grab a capacitor and some wire. Here is what they look like under the heat shrink.

Error cancellor installed and still get the check dipped beam error when turning off the HID lights. Stumped...

The only other thing I could suggest is to install load resistors. I dont like them because they get hot and can melt plastic if not secured properly. They will be 50W and 6 ohm. This will trick the ecu into thinking you have the regular lights in there because basically its just measuring the current draw and sees that its pulling only around 35W instead of the normal 55W that a halogen bulb pulls, assuming that you went from a non-HID setup to this plug and play kit. You can find them all over eBay, just search "led resistor" and find the gold color 50W 6ohm ones. If you don't want to do that or it doesnt work, then my only suggestion is get used to it. I have a similar problem with my fog light HID kit. When I turn them off the center display always says "check fog lights". My wife and I always joke about it.

Thanks, I guess I will just live with it... it is just more annoying than anything. But it works fine even if the dipped beam comes on...

Problem with cayennes is the connection plug at the headlamp and wire harness. Make sure that it sits nice and tight otherwise you will always get that message. Fat Ballasts are working, its just that like any other ballast, if it doesnt have a good ground and/or power, it wont start properly and you will see that message. Regular lightbulb is just a wire, so if it gets 9-11v at start it will always light up, no matter what, or if the ground resistance is low. Ballast are very sensitive. Its 35000W at start up! it needs juice ! 955 Dont need no error cancellers. These error cancellers will burn your plugs by falsifying whats actually happening at the plug. All you need is GOOD POWER AND GROUND!! Use some of that electrical connector gel, make sure your receiving plug female ends arent bent out of shape. Etc!
