My CT has been delayed by another 2 months! $#%#%!!!
My CT has been delayed by another 2 months! $#%#%!!!
The dealer seems to think it's either the pano roof or the turbo kit that's causing the delay. This is really agonizing
Has anyone seen a CT with either the pano roof or turbo kit around town? Thanks.

Thanks Deetz,
I guess it must be the Power Kit option causing the delay. My salesguy told me the new and "final" build date will be March 14 and said it will take about a month for the car to be shipped to Cali from Germany after completion. I guess that gives me more time to get new 22's.

i hate waiting. I had to wait 6 weeks and it has been nerve wrecking cuz i pass by the Porsche dealership almost 4 times a week and have to stop by to catch a glimpse.

Ben,
Why the bitterness? Can't you just trade your CT for an '05 which should have prior issues resolved, at least I'm hoping.

I've driven two CT's and thought that there was virtually no "turbo lag" in Tip mode. A quart of oil cost 4 bucks, I can live with that.
Besides, I would be beating the **** out of my CT like I do my 911 and that would most likely require even more oil. Buying new tires often is a fact of life with owning a sports car, especially if you drive it like a sports car. The CT is a TT in disquise imo. I can't think of any other vechicle where I can haul serious ***(in a straight line and turns) and haul luggage, surf boards, and kayaks at the same time!
Can I ask what you feel is the best alternative to the CT? I've driven the Range Rover and X5 and was not impressed.
How are you liking your CGT by the way? Thanks.

As for the tires being at the wear bar at 6k miles, I don't even drive it 5% of the time but rather my wife who was pregnant for several months and is now driving around a newborn drives it the other 95%+ of the time and does so like a grandma. So, I think it's safe to say the tire wear would be MUCH worse if it was actually being driven remotely like a sports car. Again, I replaced tires on my 911 every year (after appx 4k miles) and expected it because it actually IS a sports car and actually was driven like one. As well, the diff between the TT and CT is 1500 lbs which may be what causes the excessive tire eating. But then again, while Porsche says 6k conservative miles is "normal" to run all four tires to the wear bars, I've yet to hear that more than 1 other person has had remotely similar mileage experience with thier CT tires.
The alternative for us will be a Lexus LX since the Cayenne really has no storage space after the stroller is in there, and we don't want something that requires excessive maintainence and multiple warranty and TSB visits to the dealer.
The CGT on the other hand, is just a dream, so far.

All of them eat tires at an pretty agrressve rate even the non-turbo. This is wild as on both my 996's I got between 7-8k out of rears and probably 17k on the fronts and this is with a lowered car with somewhat agrressive camber setup.
