Looking for a CTT, preferably under $32K in gray or black.
Found this one that looks like a good deal.....
2004 Cayenne Turbo, $28,911

It has the right color combo, but what the heck is going on with the ride height? Is the PASM just set to the highest level? Or is something else messed up with it?
Also, since I'll most likely be buying something with 50K+ miles, what should I be looking for on the maintenance records?
Thanks in advance!

- Coolant Pipes
- Coils
- Control Arms
Thanks in advance!
With that ownership history?
Aye carumba-
I recommend this one:
http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...standard=false
I exchanged a few emails with them and know they will go 30k, maybe lower. Its the information age. Take your time and look hi and low. Many of the cayennes I looked at had colorfull ownership history, that could be indicitive of a bad apple.
There is also a site called cargurus. That site list how many days the vehicle has been on the market.Could give you some negotiating room. Unfortunatly for the seller its all out here for us to see. Use that to your advantage. Right now there is only a few that I would consider on autotrader. Prices seem to be lower on the west coast, so cal and nevada, couse of the economy.

If you want a Cayenne S then there is one 2006 Cayenne 'S' that is in immaculate shape that is up for sale. PM me and I can give you the link. I have no affiliation with the seller by the way.
Not sure if it helps or not but I was able to pick up a CPO'd '05 CTT with 68k for just under $30k. Titanium on black, 4-zone climate control burl wood kit and most every option...
The deals are out there. Just need to look and be willing to travel

Geez..I wish I knew that this forum existed prior to my '11 delivery! My '08 "S" was LOADED (air susp., pano roof, full wood, sport seats, nav, black on black, etc etc) and had about 16K miles with full service, always garaged and not really out in bad weather too much. No wonder they are so nice to me at the dealer!
ccexxp1, it is amazing how much you learn about your ride and the market on such forums. Even to this day there are people who are so thrilled to get 1K off MSRP and thank the dealer for giving them a good deal. My colleague (who does not even know that internet exists) got 1% off his custom order for a 997.2 when most people on this board were getting 5% off with the same dealer. I would buy a used car from a 6speeder anyday than a dealer. Agreed they have a big overhead but still....
I don't think that one looks too bad if you are okay with the off road trim package. (the black trim and running boards). Nice wheels.
Try to find out if the coolant pipes have been swapped.
In the back under the rear floor there is an option sticker in the upper left hand corner. It will have a bunch of 3 digit codes on it. This will tell you EXACTLY what the car came with. There is a code search tool on renntech.
Cayennes were all "al la cart" so decoding this sticker is the only way to tell what a specific car actually has.

Yuck. Personally hate wood.
But I thought I should point out that if the heated steering wheel is something you want, you will lose it with any of the wood or carbon steering wheels.
