Picking up a Sony 55inch LED tv. Will it fit inside my Cayenne?

Anyone know the dimensioon of the cargo area? I know that it hold 62.5 cubit feet but I need to know if the TV is out of the box, will it fit inside... safely? 05 Cayenne.

Thanks!

It should fit, but I wouldn't say safely. Depending whether the stand is removable, you may have to go diagonally. I wouldn't want to transport a TV that big outside of its box. Why not just leave it in the box and put it on the roof rack?

it's snowing out and i dont want the box/tv to get wet. if i go diagonally i think it might fit but i'd rather lay it flat. maybe i should just wait until the snow has passed.

I would say it will fit, typlically the boxes are fairly narrow and don't have too much else for extra packaging that isn't required. It will be diagonal for sure and the rear seats will be down, remove all that extra crap before you go.

It will fit. I moved a 60" albeit with the box laid down on its side.

You can carry an LCD tv in any orientation. If it's a plasma tv, it needs to be moved standing up. You can't tilt a plasma tv as it damages it. Weird I know..

Are you mounting this in place of the rear window? With a backup camera always on?

Plasma displays are glass, carry it on its side and the glass can crack..

Be careful with that statement. A big pothole doesn't mix with any type of diagonal TV in a car.
