Lowering Module

Recently, I had the techart lowering module installed on my CS with air suspension. However, I do not think that the car is low enough. Is there any way that I could make the car drive in loading height?? I think that would make my car look 1000x better...

You could always have some really hevay people ride along with you! I must admit the car does look great at loading height, but that is quite a drop from the stock setup to be driving around at IMO. You need to get some rims to help finalize the menacing look!

I accidently turned my suspension off and drove for about 4 miles. Made my 18's look like 24's. Very uncomfortable !

Hey Jeffs,

try unplugging your air suspension module when your car is at the loading setting, this will leave your car able to drive with the lowest setting possible!

FOR TESTING PURPOSES ONLY.

I just tested out by driving about 20 miles on the freeway and it felt 100% fine. varying speeds up to 80 mph.

felt like what I assummed it would feel like with the lowered module in. The only bad thing I noticed was that you have a huge red "air suspension failure" warning on your display.

As soon as I plugged it back in, raised to the normal height automatically like nothing even happened.

again, take it for what it's worth. I wouldn't reccomend driving everyday all the time, but for those special times you want that extra sag in front our your friends...

so what are the steps to do this, and where is everything located? In the trunk I believe?

Thanks
Harris

Hey renntech,
pretty straight forward...
1) lower the cayenne to the loading setting
2) turn off the ignition
3) go to the passenger side of the cargo area and open up the panel door. you'll notice the silver module held by a plastic clip at the top.
4) unclip it to free the module
5) there are 2 harnesses thatplug into the moule --unplug both.
6) start the car back up and it'll stay at the loading height and a warning message will appear on your dash.
7) voila, instant gangsta!

NOTE: Again, try at your own risk and I wouldn't reccomend you doing it all the time, but I can't see why it would hurt anyways.

DID IT, AND LOVE, IT, i DONT THINK i AM GOING TO HOOK IT BACK UP. i TALKED TO SOME TECHS AND THEY SAID THEY CANT SEE WHAT THE PROBLEM WOULD BE WITH DOING IT. IT SHOULD BE SAFE.

Renntech36,

cool! It still rides nice to in my opinion.

we're they porsche techs that okayed it?

I didn't think there would be a problem either, but I didn't want to be held responsible if a fellow Porsche owner bottomed out, lost control and got hurt (not trying to scare anyone).
I
'm doing the same for now too.

do you have a lowering module already and are running super-dumped or just running at stock loading height?

Jeffs,
try it yet?
