Hey guys!

Searched the forums, and saw a few threads on this topic, but never really got a clear answer from any of them.

So what is the best transport system to use, with a pano roof? Yakima, Thule, or tequipment? Seems the Yakima might be the best of the bunch, but wanting to double check, and make sure it will work. It will be used mostly to carry 4 snowboards or camping equipment.

I don't think Pano makes a difference other than you'll want to be more careful with bindings etc hitting the roof when clamped or if you open the roof (raises up a bit?)

Do you have roof rails? If so, you just buy the clamps, crossbars, and the fatcats and you are good to go. Once you get the crossbars, you can put any other yakima item on the roof.

Yeah, don't have roof rails, as they are not compatible with the pano roof. Would rather just have the rails, but just not an option. I guess I'll just order the Yamika, and hope that it works!

Just contacted Yamika. They do not have a system that will work with the pano roof There has to be something out there! Right?

 

I think officially Yakima does not have a system at all for the Cayenne.

Can you take a quick picture of the topside of the pano roof? Does it have the built in tracks like a regular Cayenne?

 

running Yakima control towers to carry my snow boards on 08 GTS, don't have pano glass - easy to pop in and out...

 

i was told that nothing will go on pano roof when i had my 09 GTS. it doesn't have the same track like the non pano if i remember.

 

Manual says no rack on pano roof. May be a weight issues? i do have some type of rail thou. i will post a pic.
