2012 cayenne

Does anyone know when they will start delivering 2012s? Are dealers already letting you put in orders now for 2012 model year deliveries? My dealer seems confused on the subject, if anyone could shed any light on the subject it would be much appreciated!!

Shouldn't be much changed except some extra painted exterior options.
But I'd guess same as always late summer.

heard rear view camera is added as standard now (msrp increased)

20% of all cars in US have to have rear view camera's by 2012, 80% 2013 and 100% by 2014.

I put a deposit down for my dealer's first 2012 allocation. Dealer said early August order for a late Oct., early Nov. delivery.

i dont know 100%... just going off what the GM of the dealer said.

as you might have noticed, when they made the rear airbags standard the prices went up more than the $370 for the airbags. (v6 up 1k, v8 up like 500?)

so he said when the rear camera becomes standard will go up a little more than just the option costs.. inflation/porsche not wanting to sell the cars here (china has huge demand right now).

im not sure what else the standard pieces will be, i guess we'll see..

yea i'm kind of kicking myself for not ordering when the car first came out (given it was cheaper and allocations were better so deals were also better). oh well, what can you do.

it would be great though if prices went up again and there aren't any changes for 2012.

i got the backup camera. it's a must have for wives.

China has great demand but we are a big consumer of Porsche, why do they always **** on us. Same with BMW, can't get individual cars on mid to lower level cars ie. 3 series and 5 series. booo hoooo

2012 Dates

I have a June build with a late July (estimated) delivery date. I know that there are also some May builds so I am guessing that we may see 2012's on the road as early as late June or early July.

Also- does anyone have any confirmation about rear camera being included? I didn't hear that from my dealer.

For what it's worth, a BMW salesman told me the reason it's difficult to order through the individual program is that US buyers can too easily renege on their commitment to buy, thereby saddling the dealer with an expensive car that is hard to unload.

I placed my order for 2012 CTT at beginning of March. Just received allocation in June and dealer said should be a late July early Auguest delivery. non-smoking is standard for 12' now and Jace is right there are some new paint options and stuff like door sill guard.
