Japan Earthquake affecting Porsche Production?

Just curious if anyone knows or heard about this being possible?

The tranny is Japanese sourced which is obviously critical to the production of the Cayennes. Anyone know if the tranny manufacture was affected by the quake?

AJRDU is infamous around these parts
I asked my dealer that and he said that they so far have enough transmissions to complete allocations. We will see if that turns out to be true.

was doing some research and found a few links. looks like the quake was pretty far away, but some manufactures are getting affected.

and it's here that they said they use the aisin source tranny:

"in conjunction with Porsche Traction Management (PTM) and a new Aisin eight-speed automatic, does without a reduction gearbox, saving 73 pounds."

I don't think any dealers have a clue as all info is third hand.

My build date has slipped. But with all the sadness that has occurred/ occurring in Japan, it is not an issue in prospective for just a new SUV.
