Mod on door closure smoothness

Cheers guys,

Drivin a Cayenne S 2005 in the four seasons of the beautiful country of Finland.

Close friend of mine bought the new Cayenne (poor diesel though....), but still having an awesome touch and feel when closing the doors, so smooth and slowly tight and controlled (at least a great difference to mine), was thinking how to mod the older version door closure to be at least on the same level.

Guys, not asking for further acceleration or loud sound, just to integrate nicely to the human touch.

Your kind feedback and views, all appreciated,
Pekka

No. You still have to use your hands to help, even with the new model...

Quite a strange mod I'm asking, but the difference is material, not only comparing new and old.

Have you tried lubricating all the hinges and latches? Mine closes quite smoothly with a quite satisfying klunk..

I don't really understand what you're trying to do. My doors have a very solid, satisfying closure.

There was a Porsche TSB regarding doors not closing/sealing properly and causing wind noise when driving. The solution to this isse included putting shims in the door hinges to properly align them. I had this done to my driver's side front door and it did help with wind noise. Beyond something like that, I'm not really sure how you could modify your doors.

I had it done at my local Porsche dealership. I was still under 50K miles when I had it done, do there wasn't a charge to me.
