Traded in 09 CTS-V for 09 GTS
Well, pulled the trigger last night on a beautiful 09 CPO GTS with 24K miles. Drove it to work today (40 miles R/T) and absolutely loving it. Very, very happy with the bluetooth and the easy phonebook access. Many controls are very intuitive. Very, very quiet ride.... and oh-so-smooth on the freeway. LOVE the interior. Co-workers asked what sold me on the car.... and I have to tell them to go look at the headliner. Some guys have a fetish for womens toes, I guess my fetish is suede headliners!
OK, just to state the obvious. Ignition on the left side is just stupid. (Yes, yes, I know the history.... just don't like "paying" to be reminded each time I go to start the car!)
One question. Do I really NOT have automatic headlights? Please tell me that I'm doing something wrong.
The car is awesome. Having a warranty through July, 2015 and paying 60% of MSRP feels great! I'm usually the guy preserving for someone else!

I don't think you will regret that. There's a "driver's car" feel about the Cayenne. It's not present in the Lexus, Acura, Cadillac. Those are all fine cars but the Cayenne blends the German build quality and feel with a lot of nice technology to boot. I like the ingress/egress and driving ergonomics of a larger car and to get that without losing the driver's car feel is special.
From my (limited!) experience... look towards the 2009 as it gets you the updated electronics and another year or warranty (approximately). In my case, there was a CPO '08 and an '09 within a 12 mi radius of each other. Same color and interior, same mileage but the '09 was cleaner and priced more aggressively. a no brainer for me. Best of luck in your decision. (Don't worry about a long drive to get what you want - I guarantee that the drive home will be enjoyable!)

We have owned 3 VW Touaregs in the past. The best one an 08 V10 turbo diesel. We put lots of miles on cars and traded away the V10 when it's warranty expired. We miss it and will end up with the P car soon I believe....this time it will have the extended warranty! To have a twin turbo diesel without an extended warranty is crazy.
