Bought an 04 Cayenne S today
Hello All! I'm brand new here, just purchased my 04 Cayenne S today!
She's silver and has 81K miles. Apparently spent most of her life in Florida, so not a lot of abuse from snow and salt yet. I'm sure I'll have tons of questions later, just wanted to say hi to start!

Thanks all! I do need to get some pics posted...will get on that this week!
In terms of stuff to get for it/do to it, the first order of business is to get a second key fob. Second order of business will be to get snow tires. I bought it with summer tires. 2 questions on that topic: do more people do the summer tire/snow tire changeover, or have all seasons? Also, if we get snow before I get snow tires on it, will it still go okay in bad weather with summer tires??

Congrats and welcome!
You can get by on all-seasons for occasional, light snow. I recommend the Continental ExtremeContact DWS if you go this route. For significant snow, ice or really cold weather, a proper winter tire makes a huge difference. If you get caught out in snow or really cold weather with your summer tires on, you can still drive the car. You simply have to be very careful if this happens. Stopping distances and lateral grip are impacted noticeably, so just go slow until you get home!
I drop down from a 20" wheel in the summer to an 18" wheel in the winter. It gives me a little more sidewall to protect my wheels against potholes and a slightly narrower tire for deep snow.

I bought my wife a 2004 Cayenne S with 48k about 3 years ago. It ran good on the drive home from Ca to Ut. Within a month it started to run rough. I ordered new (updated) coils and new plugs. The coolant pipes had already been changed to metal so no worries there. I have to say it has been a wonderful suv since those repairs. We feel so safe when driving around. I hope you enjoy yours!
This video from www.tirerack.com does a good job of showing the difference between different types of tires on slippery surfaces.
