My new old Cayenne

First Porsche Cayenne Turbo completely wrapped in 3M Anthracite Carbon Fiber in Vancouver! New Pics!

Hi Everyone,
This is my first post but I've been here for a while in read only mode I'd like to introduce you my Cayenne Turbo:

I bought it a while ago and it has been a great vehicle until several month ago when I finally got bored of it. This is when I decided to try something new... to fully wrap it in grey carbon fiber.
Today I was at the shop and managed to get couple 'in progress' pictures from them.

What do you guys think?

Looks great! I wrapped mine in 3M matte black and Carbon fibre, I also blacked out the rest of the car (wheels, lights windows...) But I'm now regretting not wrapping the aluminium trim, but I think I will get round to doing that at a later date.

O was thinking about wrapping all exterior trim to 3M matte black but decided to leave the original color as it matches grey cf from my point of you. I might end up wrapping only b pillar trims in matte black.. still thinking. I also wrapped my interior trims a month ago in Fabric Black Carbon Fiber (As original aluminum trim was scratched here and there), looks and feels great!

When did you wrap it and how is it working for you so far?

More pictures coming tomorrow

Excellent! How durable is the wrap and how do you care for it?

Well, I did my research before I decided to go ahead with it..

Besides the aesthetic beauty of it, it supposed to protect the paint from scratches, stone chips, fade and dent. The vinyl itself is about 1mm but because it seats right on top of paint it can protect even from a fender bender accident. At the shop they did a little demo for me where they tried to scratch gas cap wrapped in cf with the key and when they removed vinyl, paint wasn't s scratched at all. Pretty impressive

It is also fully reversible with the lifetime of 2-8 years. The only thing you should watch out is that if your paint is not that good or hasn't been applied properly, when you remove vinyl it could damage it (in most cases this is due to low quality vinyl). Usually vinyl shops inspect your vehicle before installation and warn you if this could be a problem. I would also highly recommend to do your research before choosing installers as apparently installation process is very important.

As for the maintenance, it doesn't require anything special other than avoiding pressure car washes. Everything else is just like regular paint, you can even polish it

Thanks guys!

Initially I wasn't sure about the grey carbon fiber as I couldn't even find any Cayenne fully wrapped in CF.. but I really like how it turned out. Just need to buy new wheels to finish the new look
