>>> Carbon Fibered My Engine Cover <<<
I have been away for quite some time as my company has really taken off. I have slowed down on may of my projects, but have had some time to sneak a few in. I recently started experimenting with foam & plastic vacuum molding and I have something in the works that I hope sees the light of day - VERY custom.
For now, I offer up to the 6speed gods yet another CF wrap. The engine cover came from ebay for $20 as it had a small crack in it. Well - no worries now
I did not clear over the techart sticker (took me 2 months to get from malaysia) a I am not sure if I will leave it on. For now, it stays. The last pic shows my old engine cover which I had painted red a while back. I think I will stick with the CF.
Enjoy and feel free to ask ??? I always aim to help other 6SP members.

Very cool. I am looking into doing this on several of my cayenne's exterior/engine surfaces, really nice look.

Awesome.
So, where did you source everything? How many coats of epoxy did you use? How long between drying? What grit sand paper in each step?
Or perhaps you have a link of the instructions you used?
