Looking for explanation of sound from Diverters and Intakes

What kind of added sound will I get from new billet diverters?

Scale of 1-10... 1 being you wont notice at all.. and 10 being wow thats LOUD.

Also what kind of sound? May be hard to describe, if you could do your best, thank you.

Also adding the dual Intakes... same scale.

Ive used the search feature, and found a lot of topics on these two but nothing really describing what kind of sound we should look for for those of us who do not have them yet.

For the record this is for a 2006 Cayenne Turbo

Thank you to anyone who answers.

I put in the intake, without having the music on and if you go easy on your foot, it's not noticeable at all. If you floor the pedal without music, it gives that whooooooshhhhhhh sound.

With music, I bearly notice anything no matter how much gas i gave. Maybe, my music is too loud :P

Hmm I'd say intakes are 2-3 on the loud scale, more noticeably while in higher gears and loading it up.. On mine I definitely hear the turbos sucking in air, and when letting off the throttle I hear my diverter valves dumping. If I can hear it inside, I know its noticeable outside as well As far as upgrades, they are a great place to start and I bet you'll enjoy them!

You mean the IDP plenum? Not sure on that one. It looks cool though!!
I doubt any sound increase, but hopefully some increase in response.

Hey evo, I see you have boVs... They seem to get a bad wrap on here.. What are your thoughts? Had any problems or warning lights pop up? Hows the sound?

oh sorry. I think diverter valves and BOV's are one in the same. A bov can be recirculated back into the intake, just aft of the MAF as well so that the car doesn't stumble or hiccup. A diverter valve is the same thing, just a factory name for it.
I run the forge style of divertor/bov which is recirc'd. I'll be running dual Tial 50mm QR bov's pretty soon (not sure if I should post a link as it might get deleted) and same goes...those will also be recirculated as well. Either way I'll update my signature so it's not confusing, lol
