Snow Tires??
Snow Tires??
I am going to order the CT today. I plan to buy some blingy wheels for use when the weather is good.
My question is this ... Are there any good snow tires that are available in an 19' wheel. This vehicle will be my new daily driver and I want something that I can use when there is snow on the ground.

I think there may be 1 or 2 19 snows out there. My car came with 18's and you have a much greater selection. In addition to that 18's will be narrorwer(better for snow) than 19's. I use the Pirelli Ice&Snow tire 255/55/18's. They are absolutely fantastic in the snow. I am a skier who only ski's fresh POW, so as you can imagine I hit the roads when they are in the worst shape. The Cayenne gets me there safely and confidently...
I second what rockitman said(except I run even narrower snow tires).
In the winter I run 18" rims with 235/60/18 Dunlop Grandtrek M2 on AT Italia S5s (not so bling)
Spring thru fall I run 20" rims with 275/40/20 Continental 4x4 SportContact (more bling)
Skip the 19" for snows as they are horrible snow tires and you have limited choices. Go 18" with 235/60 if you live with snow like I do. (since you are in CO I am guessing you get as much or more than I do in CT) or 255/55 if you only drive up to the mountains but don't have to drive all the time in the white stuff.
Skip the 19" for looks/summer performance as the 20-22" will get you better looks and wider tires with lower sidewalls.
Order your Cayenne with stock 18"s and turn them into snow rims and order your bling 20-22" rims as your summer shoes. Don't bother with the 19"
Personally I won't go over 20" because the roads in New England would beat up me and my rims. I don't know how the Boston guys do it!!!!

jenner: I survive although I have to avoid all holes and bump.

NoMercy: get HRE bling bling and get the standard 18" for winter. But keep in mind that BBK will not fit 18" if you want to upgrade your brakes.

The deed is done. I decided to get the 19s and put snow tires on them. Denver does not get that much snow and when we do I melts off very quickly. I'll get some 22' Tech Arts in Black for the more blingy times.
