'08 Cayenne Turbo - pkg brake light/beeping

Hello - My '08 Cayenne Turbo's parking brake light(s) remain lit, and the alert continues beeping, after brake is released. Hoping to find a quick fix here, rather than trekking up to the dealership... Thanks in advance!

While pulling the release lever, stick your foot under the parking brake pedal and push it all the way up with the toe part of your shoes. See if that works. Probably common spring return problem.

as said above, most likely your strut for parking brake lost pressure and is no longer forcing the brake pedal into its default position (all the way up). Since pedal 'sags', it trips the switch, appearing to show the brake is engaged. I wrote a how to on renntech.org, showing how to replace (really easy), and where I got my replacement.

Thanks, Everyone!
Pulling the pedal up manually worked just fine. From what I understand, it's a common problem on the Cayennes. I've been quoted anywhere from $50-$100 for new strut.
Much appreciated!

Yes. Get it yourself for cheaper, read my diy on renntech.org, and replace free in a few minutes, then send me a check for the difference you saved. The diy may be on this site too, called brake pedal strut.
