Tire size 305/40/ZR22

Anyone with 22" wheels tried this size tires? Thinking about getting them. Pros and cons please. Many thanks.

I was told the kdw tires are loud (hearsay I know).

I can recommend Pirelli Scorpions and Yokohama Parada Spec x in the 22 inch size. I have had both and they are very good tires.

Thank you for the options. Now my head is spending which is the best for my needs for the truck. I am looking for quietness and comfort and a little of responsive. My CTT is a DD. I'm in San Diego and it's always great weather! Should I go for the all seasonal tires or stick with summer tires? Some people suggested the Conti is the way to go for comfort and quietness. Anyone else with 22" experience the best tires from my discriptions?

Living in SD I would think a proper summer tire would be the best choice. I live in Colorado and run a winter tire half the year and a summer tire the other half. Both do better than the all season compromise tires.

Will these tires rub in the front?? I thought a 40 series would be too tall.

Yes, 40 will be too tall. Remember that the section size is relative to the width number. So a 305/40/22 is both wider and taller than 285/40/22 tire.

The net is that you should be looking at a 305/35/22 tire (and even this is slightly taller than the stock tire). I just bought a set of Pirelli's, but the choices are slim in this size.

How about these? Will this size work for the CTT? I think 305 might be a little to much. I came down to 295. I'm getting close to plunge into this Vredestein. They don't have 285/35/22 but they have 295/30/22. http://www.performanceplustire.com/t...95_SLASH_30-22. Any comments is appreciated. Thanks!

Thumbs up

I run on these tires (Vredestein 295/30/22) and think they are great! Good traction and not so loud!

Nice...can you post images of your vehicle? I am concern about the wall thickness. I'm planning to mount 315/30/22 rear and 295/30 front. Will this be a good idea or just stick with 295 all around? Many thanks!

Nice looking vehicle. Love the 3/4 view. Those 295 tires width sure give it a good stance. I am sold. Thank you so much. By the way we have the exact color combo and similar wheels. 295/30/22 it will be.

295/30 is the way to go. I've done it on both the 957 and 958 now.
