Some people have asked me what my cajun sounds like from the inside and what the Tial 50mm bov's sound like....I've been meaning to make this vid for a while now, just been lazy. I picked the windiest day (yesterday) to do this so sorry about that, RPMS were limited to about 5k and throttle 3/4 max in the lower gears...I had a tank of 87 oct in there and just wanted to be safe.
I'm going to get some GOOD vids of me accelerating from the front and blow-off sounds this weekend and will post them up!! OH and more mods to come!

That's some amazing open road you have in CO, wish I had that kind of space here in NJ. All we have here are a couple of turnpikes west of the big apple... I'm going to need those secondary pipes STAT! Haha the sound is fantastic, gave me the itch to get my exhaust done yesterday.
Its a new area in development so I figured I'd rage a little bit on those nice roads.
Once you have your secondaries and exhaust..it should sound great. I'm hoping that my exhaust tone changes a little bit with the 3" secondaries, mid-section and tips. Right now it does a bunch of up/down transitions due to the factory exhaust and my current upgrades.

Nice vid! Love it. Sounds wicked! I tried responding to your pm but still cant ...lol. anyway, I was going to ask you what tips you were running on the Leistung exhausts and if you had any pics of the exhaust on the truck, got to see it in the video, looks awesome. Are those stock ctt tips welded on there or some other tips?
Why would you run BOVs on a car designed to run a BPV?
..and WTF would you run 87 in a car designed to run premium

This does not sound like the proper way to modify and run this car. Especially when engines aren't exactly cheap to replace!

I actually know exactly what I'm talking about! I've been building fast cars, boosted cars, at this altitude for about 25 years!
First you took a closed system that where a by pass valve was used to recycle unused boost and vented it to the atmosphere for what? To make it sound like a crappy Japanese hot rod? Do you think the Porsche engineers just did that for the fun or it? Do you think you are smarter than a Porsche engineer? The air you are blowing out to atmosphere the computer is thinking is in the system so you are messing with the system right there.
Then, you go and run low octane fuel in it? These cars were designed to run on a slower burning higher octane fuel to prevent things like pre-detonation. And before you start in with "we can run lower octane at our elevation" you should go look at the pumps and realize that they have all been adjusted for elevation already. That is why our premium is 91 instead of 93-95 that you find at sea level.
Weren't you complaining about fuel mileage the other day? Maybe using the appropriate mods and fuel would be a good start!
Sounds like you should learn a little about your car before just claiming people don't know what they are talking about.
Fwiw, I think the exhaust sounds cool on video. The Cheesy "hay look at me" teenage BOVs I could do without. Just my opinion on that one.
Cole, I really like the sig pic, if I still had a garage that'd be an awesome pic to frame and mount. As for the BOV vs BPV piece, all vehicles that come from the factory with a SC or turbo have BPVs only. BOVs are strictly aftermarket, and for what EvoIII is looking to do to his pig, it makes complete sense to have BOVs. Right now he's probably running rich for that split second that the BOVs release air, but that can be an easy fix once he gets a tune that reflects his mods. BPVs like the ones that our vendors on here sell, are a perfect application for light to moderate mods that most of us do on our trucks, but in the event that you're looking to push the stock turbos to max boost, you really want to release that pressure from the turbo, not recirc it.
I do agree with you on the gas though, EvoIII what are you thinking! Haha, I know if you're not boosting much you can get away with it from time to time, but from my knowledge it can really cause detonation and cause further problems down the road. I'll bet you could get away with midgrade at elevation though. For example, I had a 300zx a long time ago and I used to get away with mid grade in it, but once I put regular in it. The car broke down numerous times and I eventually took it to my mechanic and he diagnosed it as low grade gas in the tank and I even had to replace my fuel filter & dump a bottle of octane boost into the next 2 tanks of gas.
One question EvoIII, with your FMIC, what do you have in place of the old IC's? I smell a tranny cooler relo project...
