Please read this !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was getting ready to purchase a CTT today but came across this letter. PCNA states that wheel virbrations are characteristic of the Cayenne. I thought this problem was resolved. Please read the following and comment. Thanks!click here

What's really strange is that only some of them seem to have this... Is there any way you can drive the car _before_ actually buying it? That way you can see if has that...

That letter is a year and a half old and so is the vibration issue. I just traded my 04 CS at 27,000 miles and haven't had a vibration since the car was new and I changed wheels several times during ownership. The key to no vibration is if the dealer REALLY knows how to "Ground Force" balance the wheel/tire. If not, you will have vibration, it is simple as that, period!

i have not experienced any serious steering wheel virbrations on both Cayenne Turbo & Cayenne S we have or had in the family. IMO, majority of the Cayenne owners are new to Porsche cars therefore some are confused about ''the road feel'' of all Porsche cars to steering virbrations. do must of u agree if u have any 911s u do get some sort of virbrations especially when traveling higher speed? some might call it positive steering feed back some might say the steering wheel is shaking. however, i'm not the owner of the car in this matter therefore i don't know how bad the virbration is. there are many kind of virbrations & related to many things. if the virbration they're addressing here is really bad then i'd say this letter is totally bull**** & PCNA may be ready to get sue. in conclusion, i think we can't really comment this case unless we all agree or have the same standard about the specific ''virbrations''.

There are a few terms for it, but the most common is ROAD force balance. The machine used is a Hunter GSP9700. You can read up at www.gsp9700.com and find an installer near you. And yes, it seems to be the ONLY way to get a vibration free balance on the Cayenne.
