air suspension fault weird fix

ok- car thows up air suspension fault workshop warning
but suspension all works fine.
just intermitent suspension fault getting worse by the week
had a headertank leak which was fixed a while back also

so when codes where read by dealer, front off side speed sensor had blown due to coolant leaking from old header tank about a month ago

changed speed sensor- and air suspension fault fixed

all other suspension codes where clear
mechanic siad this was the first time he had seen speed sensor blow and effect the air suspension
just a thought for anyone else with this fault
ps- speed sensor did not show a fault on the dashboard

Sorry, but it wasn't a speed sensor.

What you described is a height level sensor. You need to find an actual, current Porsche technician. He should have checked those first. The air suspensions are pretty robust, but if I see a problem on one, I check these first. Your guy may have worked on Porsches, but he's no Porsche technician. Sorry, but there it is.

Not necessarily true. There are 3 body acceleration sensors which are used to carry out speed-dependent level adjustments. 2003 and early 2004 models had additional accelerometers on each of the front struts for this purpose.

This is correct: Here are the trouble shooting items:
