Need an alignment + question with lowering & warranty issues

Hey guys,

Well I lowered my Cayenne S a while back, its been about 15k miles since then and I have gone through 2 pair of brand new front tires. My car was loweres using shorter linkage, basically theres 4 plastic links that connect the air suspension, those were replaces by shorter links and the car sat lower than anything I had seen at the time. I really love the look and dont want to put it back to stock.

I noticed that the inside part of my tires wear out like crazy, only like 4 month of normal driving and the thread comes out, theres seems to be a bad camber angle even when my wheels are straight.

I took my car to a alignment shop today to replace the tires and get an alignment. Well they put the new tires on, but they said the cayenne needs special tools to get an alignment, and I would need to take it to the dealer.

Do you guys think I should take my car to the deal? Will they void my warranty? Will they even do the alignment with my lowered cayenne?

I am in the Los Angeles area, so does anyone know anywhere that can align a cayennes wheels?

P.S. - Im running stock 18" Wheels.

TIA,
Michael

The wear out in the tire threads seems to me that you need to get an allignment ASAP. You usually need an allignment whenever you have the car lowered or new tires. I highly doubt dealer will void your warranty. PM 20C4S I believe he has an allignment machine his shop is in LA and also a board sponsor.

I dont think they will notice you have air suspension right? I think replacing the springs is a different scenario..IMO

Just to be on the safe side I would personally raise it back to stock.

Question,

Why would you modify a leased car?
