'08 V6 - what's it worth?

Hi all,

I'm thinking about selling my '08 V6 and replacing it with a 2014 version or potentially a Macan. The dealer gave me a trade price on it last week but I'd be really interested for some thoughts on a sensible price for private sale in the PA area. The specs are as follows:

2008 Cayenne V6
Basalt Black
55,000 miles
Luxor Beige full leather
Purchased 3 years ago as a certified car from main dealer
Nat TV iPod/iphone 4 kit
22" Deluxe Design D10's with Yokohama Parada Spec X (originally $4.5k)
Original 18" wheels available
Tow package
PCM navigation
Clear corners

Always garaged, never seen a machine car wash, cleaned by hand every 1-2 weeks. Thanks in advance for any thoughts

I'd have to guess in the ballpark of 22-25K.

All depends on the buyer.

The problem is that for the Same $22-25k you can get a pretty nice Turbo these days.

Going to depend on where you are and what's available near where you are. Also depends on actual condition of entire package. I've seen things advertised as excellent condition that I would not park in my driveway. Also trade, wholesale or retail value. Private party or dealer price? I find generally That if you look up all options and average the KBB value with the Edmunds value, you get a pretty good estimate.

Right?....and? I suppose that matters if you are buying one to show off at the mall or golf club. Since the "2nd gen" is really just a facelift, and not even great at that IMO.

If you want the Porsche driving experience and options any Turbo/S is a FAR better value than a V6.

It's still a much better appointed vehicle. I'm not saying anyone needs a turbo but it's going to be a much more fun vehicle do drive especially in the mountains. As well as a nicer vehicle to be inside of.

The OP was referring to an 08, 957 model.

Then you said something about getting a Turbo for the same price.

You CAN'T get an 08 957 Turbo for the same price is what I was referring to.

I'm sure anyone that knows cars would get a first Gen Turbo over a 2nd Gen V6. That's pretty much a given.

Who said anything about getting a 957 turbo? Anyone shopping for a Cayenne for $20-25k would probably discover they can have a very nice 955 Turbo for the same or better pricing than a 957 V6. Especially when they learn that a 957 is really just lipstick on the 955 pig!

There is a reason why the 957 has "Lipstick".
