958 Turbo LED Drl and 958 Headlight Conversion for 957
I did use the search function and although I came across some wiring modification information to make the 958 Turbo LED Drl’s work in non-turbo 958 models, I couldn’t find any information on making these work on 957 models. I’m already having a custom body kit done so the 958 Turbo LED Drl’s will physically fit (hopefully) on the custom front bumper but I have no clue on how to make the wiring work.
Same goes for the 958 Headlights. I have access to a nice set of 958 Headlights and set of 958 fenders if need be. I think the 957 and 958 headlights mount to the fenders differently. Has anybody tried this on 957? The 958 Headlight looks like it could physically fit in the 957 location with some mounting bracket modification and a cover piece around it to make it work with the 957 fenders. It looks like a lot of work including wiring work but if it’s possible or has been done before, I can give it a shot.

Why...? I remember when you'd want LEDs all over your car because it was new and exciting... Heck, I even did this myself on the 997.1S. But the 957 Turbo already has plenty of them. Why go through the headache of changing out the front end to accommodate 'different' LEDs?

First of all, to make it clear 957 Cayenne Turbo has no LED's, except for the Tail Lights. The linear lights you see on the stock 957 CTT are not LED.
I really like the look and light of LED's. I'm seeing more and more new cars using LED's, and ditching the old fog lights.
I was going to install a body kit on my 957 CTT anyway so I decided to have the front mounting locations modified to accept the 958 Turbo LED's.I believe another popular option is installing Techart LED drl/turn signals in the stock 957 CTT location, but I didn't like the look of those.
On the other hand, installing 958 CTT Headlights on a 957 CTT looks like a lot of work indeed. I would hate to be the first person to try it, but hell I'll try it if I can find a nice set of take-off 958 CTT Bi-Xenon headlights at a reasonable price.

Maybe it's just me, but I always thought LED's on cars that didn't come with them from the factory was a lot like a guy getting calve implants. It just - doesn't look right, somehow. It's like the new ricer thing to do.

you need to re-weld front top parts of chassis (wings holders) with 958 parts,
then front end can be fitted with all 958 parts even hood with hinges, but still fenders will not fit doors and chassis at doors, so you need to cut out headlight holder and fit it to custom made fiberglass wing - front are 958, rear are 957 - with rivets.
and you will need to custom made radiator holders since from 958 won't fit old radiator.

I've checked 957->958 nose fitment long ago.

The easiest way would be modifying the existing 957 fenders and headlight mounts to accept 958 headlights. I like the front end of 957 (especially with body kit or custom front fascia) better than 958.
Thank you very much for the explanation and pictures.

I think this is no way. You see there white angled headlight supports/front mount holders behind black 958 parts? They are also need to be cutted, and replaced with 958 because they about two inches higher than needed to be to accept 958 headlights. But of course you can try.
first picture is 958, bit wrecked )) but you can see difference
next two you can see where new wing didn't fit old chassis
last is new part over old ones

But if you were to use the stock 957 hood and fenders, cut and modify the stock front fenders to accept 958 headlights and make your own headlight mount, it could work.
You don't need to make a full front clip conversion to make the headlights fit.

Wow. That's a lot of work in the picture. But it looks like the conversion to 958 is almost complete in the picture. Why do say it ended with nothing? It looks like it's almost complete.
