Thoughts on buying this 05CTT?

Family member got this car 7 years ago off a lease, got an extended warranty that recently ran out so she switched to a 2012CS.

It has 115k miles. ALL service done. Items replaced:
Battery, water pump, secondary air pump at 114k miles
Brakes bled 106k miles
Coolant pipes replaced 98k miles
PCM replaced 86k miles
Brake pads/rotors/sensors replaced 86k miles
Left valve cover and left lower turbo pressure pipe replaced 86k miles
Drive shaft assembly replaced 67k miles
TCU replaced 56k miles
Coils/plugs replaced 51k miles

It does have the clunk in the downshift, looks like a job I can do myself with about $1k in parts.

The dealer wants to give her $8k for the car. She told me I could have it for that price. Interior is in pristine shape, exterior needs new headlight rubber surrounds and some touchup paint for rock chips, nothing major.

Is there any reason I shouldn't jump on this? I've done lots of reading here and it appears all the major issues have been addressed (other than transmission valve body). Anything else I should be aware of or look for?

I would jump all over that, its an excellent price for a CTT with that kind of history. But to answer your question about what to look for, Keep an eye on the gas tank. Mine always goes empty when I step on the skinny petal.

Sounds like a great deal!
Based on the mileage at replacement, looks like you are about due again for
Brakes, Coils/plugs, Cardan Shaft (probably the clunk you hear).
Still a great deal despite these normal maintenance items.
Pics please once you have it :-)

Thanks all for the input. Really appreciate it. I'm handy with wrenches so a lot of the typical replacements don't phase me. Looks like I'll be selling my car this week (335i, ~430rwhp) and picking hers up next weekend. It's white with tan interior. Really wish interior was black but oh well. First step will be 10% window tint, tinted tails, clear front reflectors, new rims (probably 20" turbo replicas) and figuring out a way to lower it. Then probably a way to make it sound mean, gonna research this further. I'm just happy to finally have something to tow my motorcycle with

As for lowering it should have air suspension, you would have to just use a durametric scanner for that. Much cheaper than coil overs.

You may want to look at the nano-tech window tint now available, if solar heat is a factor. Judiciously update and upgrade the stuff that needs it and enjoy! This one is a great deal if you like three color and options

Great deal for you, and she has to cover the sales tax difference she won't get if she has no trade in.

Well, I'm buying the car this weekend and replacing the transmission valve body the following weekend. Probably going to list it for sale for around $16k after that and list my other car also, keeping whichever doesn't sell first. Are there any rubber bushings in the suspension or anything that needs to be replaced or freshened up? I only like to sell cars if they're in top shape and want to do the work for the next potential owner beforehand.
