Hey everybody,

I am in the process of selling my PCM 2.1 out of my old '06 CTT to a buyer that is wanting to upgrade from 2003/4 PCM 2.0. I have the nav unit, the amp, and the 6 disc changer, but do not have the DVD nav drive that was underneath the passenger seat, as I no longer own the vehicle.

My question is, if he's trying to upgrade, does he need the DVD drive for this conversion to be successful? I don't want to sell all of this to him under false pretenses that it's going to work, so I was hoping for some confirmation either way so I can either sell with confidence or tell him that it's not smart to go with my unit.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Also, I read that the '06 2.1 units played mp3's, I heard that early units may not have mp3 playback though. I believe my truck was sold late 2006, but I can certainly provide serial numbers if needed to confirm mp3 playback option.

The head unit will work but navigation will not without the DVD player under the seat

Ok that's what I assumed, I read somewhere that an earlier model Cayenne with the 2.0 system could use the original CD based navi but I had my doubts.

PCM 2.0 did use the CD slot on the head unit for the navigation disc. This could also be used for audio CDs, but it would not play MP3 CDs.
