Were you able to solve your issue? My '04 is doing the same thing with the same error lights and messages (4 Wheel Drive Faulty, PSM Failure Workshop, Low Range Lock On, and the lights on the dash and range selector on the console). It is stuck in low range and hesitates and lunges in both forward and reverse. I have removed the transfer case motor, but haven't purchased a replacement as I don't know if that is the problem for sure yet or not. Curious what your problem and solution was. Thanks.
