Brake / Audio interference
Brake / Audio interference
Hello
New to the forum and have a strange issue. The other day I unlocked the vehicle ('06 Cayenne S) and stepped on the brake pedal. There was a loud whooshing sound through the audio system which slowly diminished. I started the vehicle and as much as the display worked, there was no audio. Later after it was locked and went to sleep, and then next time I used the vehicle all was normal. Now when I get in the vehicle and put the key in, when I step on the brake pedal each time I can hear a clicking noise through the audio system each time the brake pedal is depressed. Could it be an issue with the brake light switch or something else? Thanks for any input

Hmm, first thing that comes to my mind is a bad/dirty ground somewhere.. when I used to play with car audio any type of noise that came in through the radio was almost always a bad ground, ground loop, etc..
it makes an obvious click sound maybe I'll try replacing the pedal switch after checking grounds. Thanks for your advice
