Question between 06 Cayenne or 04 Cayenne S ?

Next week I will get a 06 Cayenne or 04 Cayenne S....

but I need you help guys...

Variables:

- here in Chile we pay 5.35 $US/gal
- 06 Cayenne has 1 more year warranty, 04 Cayenne S not.
- they have almost the same options, just the S have full leather.
- the S is $US 6,000 more, and has only 12,500 miles.

which one?

if u live in Chile and can afford the S. get the S.
but i have driven the v6 and i thought it was okay. not too sluggish imho but u drive a tt for Gods sake, even the S will feel slow.

I have a 2006 with a V6 and it is just fine. In a 911, no! I'm in the NY metro area and there are a ton of cars on the road. I also don't drag race, but will throw it in 1st when I need to launch quicker- and it's fine. On the highway it moves great, plenty of passing power.
Don't get me wrong, an S is quicker, but the V6 handles better because it has a lighter engine- the dealer told me, and then I tested it out for myself and found it to be true.
Just get the options you want and then mod up the interior to your taste.

thanks everyody ...this forum rocks!!!

well, we do not need it for drag race....we have the iA stage IV for that

with my wife we are looking for a more everyday "light" car to use to go to work and to the market ...that it....if the case she will drive it most of the time and she does not like that much when I hit the 600 hp on my TT 0-100 mph ..... she just like Alot the full leather option on the S

As long as all the TSB's are done in the 04 , i'll go fo the S..
Much more torque and better resale.. also the gas mileage is not that far off,
so I dont think that would be a factor.. what you need to worry about is
if all the recalls are done and maintenance are up to date..good luck

Gas is almost identical so that isn't really part of the equation.

The main thing I would take into consideration in your situation is that she likes the leather in the S better than in the V6- make her happy, it's worth more than the $6K.

Bobby you are right! Thanks good point…

…….there are a few differences between both 06 V6 and 04 S (leaving the delta $ and the gas consummation)

- 06 V6 has automatic lights setting.
- 06 V6 has all the improvements done to date and 1 year more Wt.
- 06 V6 has painted rockets matched to the color of the car.
- 06 V6 has close to the sunroof switch 3 bottoms for different garages..
- 06 V6 as Mohamend said it has MP3 enabled Screens.......

On the other had.. the S has better re-sale value as Alex said..

Can't you get her a 2006 V6 with the leather she wants? Then you will have a longer warranty. It also sounds like she isn't interested in a whole lot of torque. Then you can spend the exra $6K on flying us out to your place, feeding us and filling us with beer, and putting us up in a decent hotel for the 1st Annual 6 Speed Cayenne party! (Don't forget the Cool Ranch Doritos)
