Oil Change

Dealer is telling me 20,000 miles for oil change.I wanted to change it at 5000 miles and was told I was crazy. Is 10,000 miles more normal or are you guys running it to 20,000 miles? All other cars and trucks I change between 3000-5000 miles.

Thanks
Jamie

You will get alot of different answers as far as how fast some Cayenne owner's cars are drinking in the oil. Some need to add every 3-5K, some can go 10K without adding any oil to top it off. I have a TT and I do a complete oil change @10k whether it "needs" it or not...because I "need" it.

I will say this, I've heard lifters start getting noisy, sticking and ticking, well before 20,000. Fresh oil, they clean up and are silent within the first 5-6 seconds of start-up.
