Gas filler lild and rear hatch, no go--anyone?

Both are dead. Haven't experienced this on any of my other Cayennes. This one has entry and drive--reckon there's anything different to do with that? Are those switches fuse controlled, perhaps? Any help appreciated, thanks.

Nobody? Could someone tell me at least...

are these things fuse or relay controlled? Or what circuit they piggyback with? The way these things use gas, it's quite a pain! Thanks...

Nope--just quit.

Surely there's an explanation. I have been over to the Touareg fourms and haven't found anything there either.

It sounds like a fuse to me. Both would run on a similair circuit or fuse. I would check those. Please let us know how you make out.

Yeah, I would think so too, but...

I can't find any way of telling what circuit they're on. Manual doesn't say...Help!

Still stuggling with this...HELP

does anyone have a repair disc or manual for these things? Our city does not have a Porsche dealer, and I can seem to get no help on this one. Someone on another forum suggested that it was fuse controlled, but that particular block (#30) is not used on my CS. As both hatch and gas filler are inop, I suspect a switch/fuse/relay. I sure would appreciate any help here. Thanks...

Okay, yes it should be a 20A fuse in #20--- in the right hand side fuse box, not the driver's side.
Maybe that was never made clear to you that there is a fuse box on either end of the dash when you open the front doors.
Good luck!

Okay, no. #20 on my rightside fusebox....

was empty. Placing a fuse in her yielded no results, except that in the process of checking this out, I have lost my cornering lights and the warning comes on. Does anyone have a real, definitive description of the fuse block? Maybe a tech? Thanks for trying, any help is appreciated.

Sounds like you placed a fuse back in the wrong slot. Time to bite the wallet and go to the dealer.
Good luck!

Um , no offense, but weren't you the guy that

sent me to #20 on the right side box? That's the only place I went. And yes, I wouldn't mind taking a trip to the dealer, but for the fact that: 1) It's over 100 miles away, one way, and 2) I can't make the time to go for nearly two weeks.
I think I'm going to check Bentley's and see if there is an online manual for Cayenne (doubtful) or Toureg (maybe) to at least see what circuit I"m looking for. Wonder if it controls anything else?

Yes, I was quoting the manual- who'd a thunk it was wrong? I thought you might have found a fuse there and accidentally put it back in the wrong slot by accident- I'm sorry!

That stinks about the 100 mile trek, did you call to see if they can meet you half way with a loaner? I was out of work for a few weeks a month and a half ago because of major health issues and my dealer was going to send someone up to my house 35 miles away to pick it up and leave me a loaner. Give them a call and see if they can work something better out than you going all the way there.
I have a pdf version of the manual and will be happy to send it to you if you pm me your e-mail address.
