Panoramic Roof and Wind Noise

Had 2008 Cayenne S with Moonroof and just traded for one with Panoramic Roof. I find the Panoramic Roof car to have a lot more wind noise, specifically a high pitched whistle at speeds above 75 mph. Is it because the Panoramic roof does not have an actual solid divider between the glass and the inside compartment of the car that causes me to experience more noise?? Has anyone else experienced this, or is there an inherent problem with my vehicle.

Thank you in advance for any comments..

Regards

Dan

I have Pano roof and no wind noise that I have noticed. Might be bad seals/weatherstripping??

No windnoise here, check the plastics or rubber might be that your car has been sitting in the sun for a long time ?

happens to me. my parents never complain wind noise because they never drive above 75mph. it's loud when i do above 90mph. big difference between regular sunroof & pano roof. i can confirm that.

Thank you all for the responses... I truly believe the problem is the front rubber strip that actually lays on top of the metal which is completely different than the regular sunroof. I believe at high speeds it is inevitable that noise will be made.

As far as pictures... I would be glad to post, but all of you will have to urge Marc to bring his vulgarly expensive camera over to take some pics for me... I do not want to be castrated for poor picture quality, and we all know that everything Marc owns and does is by far the best. So please urge Marc to get off his lazy bum and assist us with some pics...

Thanks!!!

Cayenne Pano Roof Wind Noise

Did you ever solve the wind noise problem? I have a 2012 with pano roof and get that whistle above 60 MPH. Started at 80+, but seems to be getting worse/happening at slower speeds.

Pano roof noise???

I own a 06 cayenne s and mine was whistling all the time.
Found that if you open the roof and pop your head out there is
Two small adjustment screws on the sides for the very front peice
Of glass that flips up. I adjusted so it closes tighter and no more noise
Hope this helps

Thank you so much for this hint. I tried in vain to get dealership to fix this whistling noise for me to no avail. Did what you suggested here and noise is gone. Excellent post!!!

I have an 08 CS with sunroof & an 09 CTTS with Pano Roof.
I don't notice any difference in wind noise between them & frequently drive at high speeds.
