How to change brakes on 05 Cayenne S

Anything I need to consider on my Cayenne S with 20,000 miles when it comes to changing the brake pads? Never done it on a Porsche Cayenne before. Also thinking of changing the calipers to the Red ones like on the Turbo.

Thank you

It is pretty straight forward. You just need to remember that brake hardware is also required (comes with pads I beleive). Also be sure to check the rotors for thickness as many times they will need to be replaced as well. Hope this helps.

really easy to do. just follow the instructions for the 996 on renntech.org, and it will be a breeze. i didn;t replace the rotors this time, but probably will next time. they look like they will be a little more tricky as the caliper bolts to remove are around 200 ft/lbs

Thanks will do. Do I wait for a "brake" light or message from the PCM? Also any thoughts on the best place to purchase them online?

I had ordered the parts and the brake light jsut came on, so it happened to be good timing. but if you were told they needed to be changed why not jsut do it, if not wait for the light.
I bought the pads from sunset imports in Oregon. Best prices for Porsche parts around, and no taxes. They are great to work with. http://www.sunsetimports.com/porscheatcost.php

I was thinking I was quoted from $850-1000, but anyways it is much cheaper to do on your own.
