PCM is changing radio stations?

SLP is infamous around these parts
PCM is changing radio stations?

anyone have experience w/this....i'll be listening to a radio station (completely clear and fine) and all of a sudden itll change to a different radio station by itself.....its been doing this a lot recently, without regard to what station or location of where i am at the time.

anyone know if this is a common problem....anyone have this fixed?

Yes, had the same problem. I forgot what it's called...but you need to turn off the "emergency broadcast"? I think it's the emergency weather broadcast that cuts in and switches the station. Don't ask me how or why but if you turn it off you'll stay locked on your station.

I had the same type of problem, took it in and got the unit replaced under warranty.

I have the same problem..but happens once in a blue moon... your dealer replaced the unit???? WOW...that's a good dealership.

It happened on my '08 TT once. Try turning off the "traffic program" box in the AUDIO page on the PCM. Make sure to do it on AM, FM & SAT if you have it. My friend has an '06 "S" and the dealer replaced his PCM unit under warranty.

Essentially saying, if 2 radio stations have the same "PI" code, it will alterante between the stronger signal. Radio stations are becoming more and more aware of this problem, and shouldn't have any trouble correcting it, have had to do this a few times.
