No white color 2011 Cayenne for now?

Tried to spec out a new Cayenne today, but was told white is not currently available at this time. I checked Porsche.com config, and white is not listed as a color of option. What's going on?

Note: Other than launch cars, of which many are white, you can't order a white one right now.

It's true. Of the "basic" colors only BLACK is available. No WHITE on the S or Turbo.

White was available when the configurator first went up, but not now. They did add auburn, green, amethyst and sand yellow. Maybe there's a shortage of white paint.

Yes, I saw WHITE up previously as well.

I really think Porsche's web site is LAME. Poorly maintained and poorly designed. They need some serious usage testing.

I don't like WHITE. It's bland and non-functional. Doesn't draw the lines (curves) of this SUV. However, having only one BASIC color is odd--like Porsche wants to gouge its clientele.

Per my dealer, no white yet either on a Sept. allocation. Hope that changes soon.

It doesn't make much sense since they all start off as white--unless Porsche is trying to force people to buy more expensive "options."

Got the answer from my dealer- they were having trouble matching the paint used for the bumpers, etc., ie the "flexible" paint with the body panels. He said white should be back in production soon.
